1,777 PLANTS FOR ONLY $5.97 EA.
Spring is here and it’s time to get busy outside the confines of our homes. I’ve already had emails from those who are building new homes and are ready to do their landscaping and I’ve had a lot of emails from people wanting to change some plants in their landscape and some who want to do a complete makeover. Many people excited to get out and get playing in the dirt and it’s only several weeks ago we had snow on the ground!
Every week we have some new plants that are finally leafed out and look great that we move from our growing area to our sales area. Since we grow our plants right here in Lancaster County they are well acclimated to our weather. This is a real plus to you since many plants that come from the south to PA to be sold here just don’t make it because of the harsher weather we have. Around here we do not “baby” our plants. I tell people if they live here they will thrive in your Landscape. To help we have two other important things for you. One is a guide for those who purchase Rhododendrons, Azaleas, or Mountain Laurel. This is a super care guide sheet that will help you grow these successfully in your landscape. We also have our Planting Guide Sheet for shrubs and trees. If you don’t see them just ask for one. Now on to the short list of plants we have available. We have found out our minds are very young but our bodies won’t always co-operate as we would like so sometimes the priority is making beautiful plants for our customers rather than taking or even having the time to list them all. I’ll give you an example from just today. I discovered we have beautiful Birch Trees to add to the sales area. Didn’t even know we had them in the grow area and we even have a few other new ones this week. So here we go with a partial list.
We have Flowering Weigela’s like Java Red, a real blooming machine in late spring into early summer and a perfect Mothers Day Gift that keeps on giving. We also have Red Prince, my wife’s favorite and Variegated with its pink and white bloom. These are easily kept to less than 36″ by trimming once a year. We have Red Twig Dogwood, Yellow Twig Dogwood, and Variegated Dogwood to add color to your winter Landscape. Then we have Nugget Ninebark and Royalty Ninebark. You will love color of the Ninebark foliage! Oh yes, we have Viburnums Burkwoodii, Arrowwood, and Summer Snowflake. I can smell the fragrant Viburnum just typing it here. Try one, you’ll love it.
We have many other shrubs like Burning Bush, Potentilla Gold Drop, Potentilla Abbottswood, Honeysuckle Butterfly, Mock Orange, Hypericum Gemo, Hypericum Sunburst, Forsythia, Inkberry Holly, Itea, Butterfly Bush, Dierville Copper, and help, everything is running together in my mind. It’s the short circuiting brain cells at work! Oh yes, Kathy to the rescue. She said not to forget the Quince Cameo with its early Spring Salmon Flower Bloom and the Quince Crimson & Gold with its beautiful Red Blooms. Take a look at the pictures below. We had blooms on these in December! Wow! If you don’t have Quince in your landscape, find a place and very early next spring you will be glad you did.

For those who have limited space and grow things in containers on your porch and we have three evergreens that work well including Mugo Pine, Birds Nest Spruce, and Emerald Green Arborvitae and a few other items as well. The Mugo and Birds Nest are in limited supply so hurry if you want one for your container.
We have perennials like Astible, Lavendar, Coral Bells, Hosta, and more. I’ve got to finish this before I run out of energy. Okay, Kathy just brought me a glass full of my favorite “healthy” ice tea to keep me going!
Oh yes, the tea kicked in. Edibles!!! We have Triple Crown Thornless Blackberries, Sambuscus Elderberry, and Aronia Chokeberry. If you like berries these are great eating and The Aronia have great foliage!
Oh yes, we have lots of beautiful Spirea! We have Gold Flame,
Gold Mound, Lemon Princess, Anthony Waterer, Little Princess and Neon Flash and even Bridal Wreath.
Poukhanense Azalea Pink Bodiour Azalea
Evergreens. Man do we have a selection. We have Emerald Green Arborvitae, Lionsville Arborvitae, Hetz Arborvitae, and more. For those who need ground covers we have Blue Rug Juniper, Blue Chip Juniper, and Queen Of Carpets Cotoneaster. Oh we have Sea Green Juniper, Gold Coast Juniper and more. All of the above and more at only $5.97 ea. and we have a huge list much to long to list here. I must be losing my mind and Kathy and our helper agree!!!! Oh boy, better take advantage of this before I come to my senses or they lock me up!
Okay we have a huge selection of plants at $5.97 but not all the plants in our nursery are $5.97. We have larger plants that range from $7.97 to $39.97. Even at these prices they are a steal. Oh Yes, One more thing. WARNING, YOU COULD BE SAVING A FORTUNE ON THE FOLLOWING ITEMS. We have incredible deals on trees and some larger shrubs like Weeping Japanese Maples, Okame Flowering Cherry, Yoshino Cherry, Pink Flowering Dogwood, Red Flowering Dogwood, Large Sea Green Juniper, Azaleas, Rhododendrons (see pictures above), Large Old Fashion Lilac and Golden Curl Willow for those who have wet areas, ponds, etc. and as I learned from our customers a great plant for large pots on decks, etc. I’m sure there is more I missed but look, the best way to see, smell and touch is to come on over and scoop up the bargains on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
