 Kathy and I first want to say thank you to everyone who has attended our plant sale events this spring! We enjoy many of our regular customers who come year after year and even bring people with them to shop with us. This year we met a lot of new people and genuinely enjoyed meeting you and look forward to seeing you again. When we close Saturday at 4 p.m. we will be closed until we reopen in the fall with our sale events so now is the time to come if you want plants at a reasonable price.

  For only $6.97 we have shrubs like:  Red Prince Weigela with their red bell shaped flowers now in bloom and as added bonus they do it again in late summer! Everyone needs one of these.   We had a lot of people shopping with us at last week’s sale event and we look forward to another 3 days of meeting old and new friends.  I met many people for the first time and some people commented to me about my marketing ad. They were skeptical about driving here and they thought it might be too good to be true but they were going to find out. They were smiling loading those wagon loads of plants into their cars. They were excited and so was I. I was humbled by all the people who came to me and said thank you for growing these plants and selling to us at reasonable prices. We are doing our best and we still have a lot of plants for you to plant in your landscape.

     We had a crazy busy first 3 day sale event last week and we look forward to this week. We planned that we would need a lot of plants this year and grew more to give you a great selection right through all our events.

      We have lots of Weigela ready to bloom like Red Prince with its showy bright red bell flowers, Minuet noted for its smaller compact size, Variegated with its beautiful foliage and a few others as well. How about those Spirea like Lemon Princess, Gold Flame, Gold Mound, Bridal Veil, Neon Flash and more. Oh yes ground cover like Deutzia Nikko and Blue Rug Juniper.     Spring is in the air and I mean really in the air!! I was walking down to my grow beds about 6 a.m. today and there was this very refreshing fragrance in the air. I recognized it immediately as my favorite  Burkwoodii Viburnum. I could have stayed there taking that in all day but work had to be done. I’ve got a nice group of these to sell for only $6.97.  We have other beautiful plants that are fragrant like Mock Orange, and at least 5 kinds of Lilacs like Old Fashion, Miss Kim and more. Come and take a look! They won’t last long at $6.97 ea. 

      We have flowering Weigela like Red Prince with its bright Red Bell shaped flowers along with dark green foliage. We also have Minuet, Java Red, Tango, and Variegated Weigela that will beautify anyone’s landscape. By the way, did I mention we have description cards displayed in front of each kind of plant and they also have a picture of many in bloom so you can see how they look in bloom if not blooming now!

We’ve been busier than one armed paper hangers. Between potting, pruning, and moving plants around it’s really been a busy time. Isn’t it always wonderful when we get to spring and see those first blooms. On Tuesday I had that experience. I went to our Rhododendron Farm and low and behold the Red Quest Small leaf Rhododendron were breaking in red colored blooms. Right next to them were the Planeview Apple Blossom’s with there white/pinkish tint flower. I am excited. Walked a little farther down the path and the P.J.M Elites are blooming with the lavender/pink flower pretty enough to take my breath away. I took some pictures and brought them home to show Kathy and she was just as excited as me. She said why not have open this Saturday (4-13-19) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for those who may want to have one or even 10 of these in their landscape or even set some on the patio until they are finished blooming and then plant them? Normally we get $19.97 each for them. This Saturday only they will be $16.97 ea. They are in 3 gal. containers. We also have Prunus Kojo-no-Mai Dwarf Cherry in 1 gal containers for $9.97 ea. and with the beautiful pale pink blooms fading to white blush flowers on twisted limbs make this a real early season winner. We also have some in 3 gal containers for $15.97 while they last. Finally, for those who want an evergreen privacy hedge we have Emerald Green Arborvitae in 3 gal. container’s and they are about 3’ tall for only $14.97 each. This is a great time to plant any of these plants we have available now since the soft ground makes easy digging and the outside temperatures are very comfortable. Hydrangeas like Annabelles and Nikko Blue. If you want a great white blooming hydrangea the Annabelle is it!  If you want one that blooms pink or blue depending on soil acidity the Nikko Blue is it.  Both only for $6.97 each.
