     We had a crazy busy first 3 day sale event last week and we look forward to this week. We planned that we would need a lot of plants this year and grew more to give you a great selection right through all our events.

      We have lots of Weigela ready to bloom like Red Prince with its showy bright red bell flowers, Minuet noted for its smaller compact size, Variegated with its beautiful foliage and a few others as well. How about those Spirea like Lemon Princess, Gold Flame, Gold Mound, Bridal Veil, Neon Flash and more. Oh yes ground cover like Deutzia Nikko and Blue Rug Juniper. You don’t want to miss picking up a Mock Orange for its beauty and sweet fragrance. Yup this is just the start of plants at $6.97 each.

   A lot of people think I’m a little on the crazy side for selling plants at these low prices but I just can’t help myself since I’m a little over the hill and it’s very hard to change my mind. Yup, I’m even selling Green Giant Arborvitae and Emerald Green Arborvitae for $6.97 each! Wacko isn’t it? How about Albelia Mosanensis, Berberis Concorde, Crimson Pigmy, Rose Glow, and Dianthus, Dierville Copper, Holly, Red  Dogwood, Annabelle Hydrangea, Forsythia, and how could I ever forget Lilacs, lots of everyone’s favorite Miss Kim and even more kinds that I can’t think of now. Look there’s a ton more of plants at $6.97 ea. but since I tend to ramble on at my age I better head for the finish line. Oh yes did I mention 2 hosta for $6.97 each while they last?

   Before I forget, another one of those senior things, we have a whole bunch of other LARGER & HARDER to grow plants at discounted prices but more than $6.97 ea.     Spring is in the air and I mean really in the air!! I was walking down to my grow beds about 6 a.m. today and there was this very refreshing fragrance in the air. I recognized it immediately as my favorite  Burkwoodii Viburnum. I could have stayed there taking that in all day but work had to be done. I’ve got a nice group of these to sell for only $6.97.  We have other beautiful plants that are fragrant like Mock Orange, and at least 5 kinds of Lilacs like Old Fashion, Miss Kim and more. Come and take a look! They won’t last long at $6.97 ea. 

      We have flowering Weigela like Red Prince with its bright Red Bell shaped flowers along with dark green foliage. We also have Minuet, Java Red, Tango, and Variegated Weigela that will beautify anyone’s landscape. By the way, did I mention we have description cards displayed in front of each kind of plant and they also have a picture of many in bloom so you can see how they look in bloom if not blooming now!

    We have 6 kinds of spirea including Gold Flame, Little Princess, Lemon Princess, Neon Flash, Griesham, and Gold Flame. We have Albelia Monsanensis, Potentilla Gold Drop, Potentilla Abbotswood,

Quince Cameo and Crimson Gold, Kumson & Lynwood Gold Forsythia and you guessed it, only $6.97 each.

  How about Emerald Green Arborvitae and Green Giant Arborvitae for only $6.97 each? At that price they literally fly out of here. We have Deutzia Nikko a great low growing ground cover with white flowers, Burning Bush, Red Twig Dogwood, Yellow Twig Dogwood, Several kinds of Holly, Hypericums, Itea Henry’s Garnet, Ninebark Royalty, Ninebark Nugget, Honey Suckle, Sedums and the list goes on and on. We have Annabelle Hydrangea, Ruby Slippers, and more.

   We’re winding down now cause this old man is getting tired since it is almost my bed time. I can’t help but mention we have Dianthus, Dierville Copper, Hosta, Blue Rug Juniper, and many, many more for only $6.97 each. Best to get here early in the season because we grow most of these ourselves and when they are gone, there gone!!!!

   Okay, I do have some plants that are larger and much more difficult to grow that sell for slightly more but are fantastic deals as well. We have Emerald Green Arborvitae, Flowering Cherry Trees, Golden Curl Willows, White, Pink, and Red Blooming Dogwoods, Aronia Chokeberry, Ornamental Crab Apple Trees, at least 6 kinds of Rhododendrons, Evergreen Azaleas at least 7 different colors and in bloom now!!!!!!!!

   There are a whole lot more kinds of plants out here including a lot of perennials that I don’t have room to list that need a home. The best thing to do is to come out and take a look and scoop up the bargains that are grown locally right here in Lancaster County. I don’t do phones since we are very, very busy growing plants and keeping our costs down to pass the savings on to you. We’ve been busier than one armed paper hangers. Between potting, pruning, and moving plants around it’s really been a busy time. Isn’t it always wonderful when we get to spring and see those first blooms. On Tuesday I had that experience. I went to our Rhododendron Farm and low and behold the Red Quest Small leaf Rhododendron were breaking in red colored blooms. Right next to them were the Planeview Apple Blossom’s with there white/pinkish tint flower. I am excited. Walked a little farther down the path and the P.J.M Elites are blooming with the lavender/pink flower pretty enough to take my breath away. I took some pictures and brought them home to show Kathy and she was just as excited as me. She said why not have open this Saturday (4-13-19) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for those who may want to have one or even 10 of these in their landscape or even set some on the patio until they are finished blooming and then plant them? Normally we get $19.97 each for them. This Saturday only they will be $16.97 ea. They are in 3 gal. containers. We also have Prunus Kojo-no-Mai Dwarf Cherry in 1 gal containers for $9.97 ea. and with the beautiful pale pink blooms fading to white blush flowers on twisted limbs make this a real early season winner. We also have some in 3 gal containers for $15.97 while they last. Finally, for those who want an evergreen privacy hedge we have Emerald Green Arborvitae in 3 gal. container’s and they are about 3’ tall for only $14.97 each. This is a great time to plant any of these plants we have available now since the soft ground makes easy digging and the outside temperatures are very comfortable. We will only be open from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. due to a previous commitment we have so please, set your GPS and come to Longview Nursery, 557 Hackman Road, Lititz, Pa. 17543 and scoop up any or all of the above bargains while they last because at 2 p.m. we must close to make our appointment.
